The 100 most important germans: Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler (born 20. April 1889 in Braunau am Inn; died 30. April 1945 in Berlin)
And here we are. He is maybe one of the most famous men working in our country. And what do we learn out of this? Never underestimate a failed painter, because our Uncle Adolf was one of those artists and went through cheap bars to sell his horrible kitsch paintings. This was the way he came in contact with the NSDAP. The rest is history.
The germans decided to elect him and went to war.
He is actually one of the two reasons why i have started this segment, because when i was looking on YouTube for german history, i've found history about the english, the frensh, but the only two things i found about germany were Hitler and hookers. Isn't that great? The other reason is a TV show where people could elect the best germans, but only a Top Ten. Call me an ego, but that was not enough for me.
Three last things can be said about Hitler. First, everybody is wondering today why he became that famous, but when you are looking at old posters and newspaper you will recognize, that most of the politics were wearing top hat and coats. Next to them A.H. looked modern with his moustache and his hairstyle. And he was also a talented speaker, even when you are listening to broadcasts from the fifties, you can hear the special speaking pattern shining through.
Second, he and the Nazis in general had grown to an unthreatening cliché over the years, also thanks to movies and television. You could clearly claim, that Nazis and Hitler in particular had killed little kitten just for fun or maybe for using them as dinner. Due the overuse and added clichés the challenge to take them serious or threatening is a bit complicated.
And last but not least, there were several attemps to deny Hitler the german citizenship post mortem, but that is not possible in the existing german law system.
So he will stay our pile of shit we have to deal with.
